Nicole Cerisola

Nicole is a dynamic litigation lawyer who has a wealth of experience defending claims brought against health professionals, insurers and corporates.

Nicole has worked exclusively in insurance law since being admitted to practice in 2006.  She has extensive experience defending personal injury and public liability claims, as well as professional indemnity and disciplinary proceedings brought against health practitioners.  In addition, Nicole regularly reviews contractual indemnity clauses and policy wordings, and provides advice on coverage issues as well as contractual indemnity disputes.

Whilst completing her law degree, Nicole also obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science, which allows her to bring valuable knowledge to her personal injury litigation and health law practices.

Prior to entering private practice, Nicole worked for 3 years at a major insurer, the experience of which has provided Nicole with valuable client insight and enhanced her understanding of the importance of accurate reserving and achieving early commercial outcomes, where appropriate.  Nicole’s commitment to client service has earned her a reputation as hard working and results focussed.

Nicole has been a volunteer mentor in the Law Society’s Mentoring Program, and she has also contributed to the Law Society of NSW publications, A Practitioners Guide to Civil Litigation, 3rd and 4th editions.
